The hacienda consists of three villas; the first two are joined to the third villa by a path that winds through a lovely terraced garden filled with tropical plants, flowers, statuary and a charming fountain.

Villa I, Villa Bursus, was purchased by actor Richard Burton as a Valentine's Day gift for his then wife Susan, hence the name Bur-Sus.

The Hacienda has been beautifully restored and is furnished with exquisite antiques that complement its old world charm. Importantly, however, it has a state-of-the-art water purification system, as well as the most modern of guest amenities.

The nine elegant suites, each with private bath, have air conditioning, telephone, remote control cable TV and a DVD player that plays both music CDs and DVDs. An extensive library of movies is available for viewing. In the main Living Room of the hacienda, guests may enjoy complementary Internet access via a DSL Wireless connection.

The price of your stay includes a delicious breakfast. Additional a la carte food and beverage service is available for an extra charge, prepared by the Hacienda's on-staff Chef.

Two large heated pools--one with panoramic views of the city and Banderas Bay, the second in a tranquil setting with fountains--are ideal places to relax. The Hacienda also has a large rooftop Jacuzzi on a terrace overlooking the famed crown of Guadalupe church--it's an ideal place for viewing the magnificent sunsets.

Although you may be tempted to never leave, just outside the front door you are but steps away from the center of Puerto Vallarta's Old Town with the beach in close proximity.
