Canadian Thanksgiving celebration at Hacienda San Angel Gourmet

Hacienda San Angel nestled high above the narrow cobblestone streets of Puerto Vallarta above the church of Guadalupe is excited to celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving this October 14th surrounded by a luxurious ambiance where visitors can experience lush gardens, antiques, art, music, culinary delights and attentive staff all meticulously coordinated to indulge whomever walks through the door.

Thanksgiving for Canadians is just as dear to the heart as Thanksgiving for US citizens. The food served in both countries is similar but Canadians insist that their stuffing and gravy are superior. A traditional Canadian home cooked meal usually consists of roasted turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, sweet corn, various autumn vegetables (mainly various kinds of squashes but also Brussels sprouts which is a Canadian must), and deliciously aromatic pumpkin pie.

Thanksgiving, or Thanksgiving Day, sometimes called Canadian Thanksgiving to distinguish it from the American holiday of the same name, is an annual Canadian holiday, occurring on the second Monday in October, which celebrates the harvest and other blessings of the past year and to give thanks for what one has and the bounty of the previous year.

Hacienda San Angel´s passionate chef will be serving a traditional Canadian Thanksgiving Dinner offered in addition to our other delicious menu items and scrumptious desserts.

Hacienda San Angel Gourmet Restaurant reservations can be booked by calling 322.222.2692 and/or OpenTable for the Gourmet Restaurant.
